新型コロナウイルスが蔓延し始めた2020年初旬までの数ヶ月間国外に滞在していて、最終的には異国でのロックダウンと数度の人種差別を経験した。それまでも各地に存在し続けていた事柄が顕著に現れたように感じた。見える風景は一変し、周囲の人々の行動に過敏になる感覚。異なるもの同士が同じ時間を生きることについて思いを巡らすような時間だった。
今作の言葉と映像は、そんなコロナ禍の帰国後以降に集めはじめたものだ。その多くは誰かに見せるつもりなく残していたものである。それまで自分が生活の中で感じてきたこと、気づき、日記など。
メモ書きのような、意志のような、おしゃべりのような、単なる独り言のような。

I stayed abroad for several months until early 2020 when the COVID-19 begun to spread, and eventually I experienced lockdown in a foreign country and several racial discriminations. It was the time when matters already existed in many places had been appeared more obvious. However, even under such situation, there were several scenes I could feel the warmth of people. It made me rethink about relationship with and understand of others in that period.
The words and images in this work were collected after those experiences, returning to Japan. Many of them were left without any intension of showing to others. These are what I have felt and noticed in my life until then, about living itself, just diaries, etc.
They are like notes, intentions, chats, or just soliloquies.
